The restaurant consistently receives praise for its hearty American cuisine, particularly the steaks, pizza, and standout pasta dishes like ravioli. Guests often commend the quality and flavor of the food, which exceeds expectations given its remote desert location. Some feedback points to limited breakfast hours impacting the freshness of morning meals for early risers, but this does not diminish the general enthusiasm for the menu and ambiance. Overall, Bruno's is recognized as a charming, well-loved local spot that offers both quality food and a memorable sense of place.
There's a lot of history here. It's all over the walls in pictures and news articles. This has been a place for locals for a long time with a rich history of events significant to the area. I regret not taking more pics other than my food and the phone booth outside. There's a lot of neat stuff that went on, so I'm giving myself a pass. In the end - The food is great and the people are awesome, a great experience!!!
We were hungry after being stuck in black rock desert for a while. The nearby town is Gerlach and this club offered us all the food we were craving for. The ambience is good and the service was excellent. We loved this restaurant and never expected to have such a good food in the deserts! If you are going to black rock desert, you must stop by to this club
The ravioli are amazing and worth the trip all by themselves. I ate the twice in one day it was so good.
Nice place, really nice waitresses. Best thing is the steaks and the pizza for lunch and dinner. The breakfast options are alright. They open way too late for a real breakfast for us early risers so we have to order breakfast at night for the next day. Which, honestly takes away from the quality of the breakfast since you have to reheat it the next morning. I'd go there again just based on how the waitresses treated people, always smiling and all.
The place looks a little old, but the food was good and the service is amazing
On the edge of the Black Rock Desert, about 90 m from any other civilization, lies the unique town of Gerlach. We stopped for lunch at Bruno's, where the obvious "regulars" ate. I had a mushroom burger & my husband had a cheeseburger, but we could've had ravioli freshly made that morning, not to mention roast beef that was on the menu! The towns people were quirky and welcoming and the whole experience was fantastic! Thanks!
This is a very unique and interesting restaurant! Gerlach is where the world land speed record was set and there are some great pictures hanging. For lunch I had the Gerlach Griller sandwich and it was excellent! All the lunches were huge portions so go in hungry!
Great New York Steak & Eggs. Always friendly. Love the pictures on the wall about the Black Rock Desert.
